The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian By Sherman Alexie
The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros is a story about a girl named Esperanza, who has lived a life where she can never really call some place home. Her family moves around every year until they get to Mango Street. The house is a large improvement from the previous homes and is the first house they actually own, but Esperanza still wants more. To me it's really just a decent book. Most of the passages are very confusing and sometimes misleading. One good thing though is that the book contains a lot of messages that show things to the reader that aren't present. The book was very short and in the end it felt like the book was left on a cliffhanger, so overall I would give this book a 3 out of 5.
The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian is a very light hearted book. The main character is mainly just talking about his life and how his days are going. He lives a horrible life where almost everyone hates him once he leaves normal school, but in the end his best friend returns. My personal opinon on this book is that it's, decent. It can be pretty funny at some time's but it can also be very boring. So my rating is a 3 out of 5.
The Art of Racing in the Rain is a book about the perspective of a dog. This dog, known by the name Enzo, lives with a happy family with an owner who has a passion for racing. All until someone get's diagnosed with cancer and everything goes downhill. The book tell's the reader what's going on quite well. The dog in this book has amazing vocabulary and also keep's the reader in the loop of what's going on. The book never really get's boring because in the book everything is always changing. Overall i give the book a 4 out of 5.
